Vision
To facilitate the fulfilment of the innate desire and profound need of humanity, in particular the English readership, for greater awareness and knowledge about reality and the world at large, with a special focus on Islam and the Muslim world, as authentic firsthand knowledge of these latter high-demand topics is scarce and hard to come by.
Mission
To make available the literary works of renowned international authors, especially those representing the intellectual tradition of Islam—through exceptional English translation—for the North American audience.
Plan
Currently the “indigenous” populations of North America and Europe do not sufficiently benefit from books originally written in non-Indo-European languages. The books that do become available lack in quality and much is lost in translation. ISRA Publications will attempt to redress this insufficiency by catering to the needs of the people who are looking for such alternative reading material. This will be achieved by hiring native English speakers with an excellent command of the foreign language to provide superior translations that the English reader can relate to. As a company, ISRA will be targeting growing market segments based on the availability of literary work, reader interest, translators and market demand. The goal is, in 5 – 7 years to be one of the leading providers of translated literary work in at least one market sub segment. Also ISRA publications will endeavor to work with other publishers, distributors, retailers and academia to achieve this goal. One of the long-term goals is to produce works that educational and research institutions will use as sources of reference.
